You became a member of Zaadz for the simple reason you want to do more than have just yet another MySpace page. You are helping, as Gandhi said, to be the change you want to see in the world.
That involves making good choices as a consumer, as a parent, as a citizen, as a human being, and as part of an online community. By bringing all these things together, you’re healing the fragmentation that all too often harms ourselves and our world.
So what does an Integral Life Practice have to do with all of that, anyway? Simple...by healing the fragmentation in your own life, you are better equipped to take on the challenges you see in the world.
Chances are you are doing some parts of an Integral Life Practice right now: you might lift weights, go to yoga once a week, get monthly counseling, practice meditation, commune with nature, enjoy reading. In other words, you are trying to work on your physical, psychological, and spiritual development.
The trouble is most of us do these things in a fragmented way.
It’s easy to live as if things like work, love, family, exercise, and spirituality are all separate activities to be pursued apart from everything else. |
