Preach the Good News at all times. If necessary, use words.
St. Francis of Assisi
Dear Friends of ISC,
Integral Spiritual Center began as a
collaboration between some of the most highly respected spiritual
teachers in the world today, who, in addition to fully embracing their
own particular paths, came together to explore a trans-path path
to the future. Through three exquisite teachers’ gatherings,
three lovely seminars, numerous one day events, dozens of endlessly
fascinating conference calls, and a lively web presence, ISC has worked
to nourish the vision of Integral spirituality and share it with
thousands of practitioners around the world.
It’s a vision that the world is hungering and
thirsting for, perhaps now as never before. Religion, blamed for
countless conflicts in our past and present, could very well be the key
to peace in our collective future. Like the first moment of dawn, this
very moment is pregnant with boundless hope, with infinite possibility.
For the first time, the various paths—their textures, their contours,
and their blind spots—are coming into view, in the light of a new day.
For the first time, a truly Universal Catechism—perhaps the
great work of ISC—can be embarked upon, mapping out each path through
its every stage, the blueprint for what Ken Wilber calls the conveyor belt, precisely the "startling new role for religion in the modern and postmodern world."
As part of the evolution of ISC, I’m writing to let
you know about some changes to our web presence, taking place as of
this week. All ISC content has been migrated to its new home on our
newly launched site, IntegralLife.com, which transcends-and-includes
the offerings we have made available on this site. The new portal
provides our entire community with an extraordinary opportunity to
gather, to connect, and to share their successes—and their
struggles—with integral practice and integral living. The site is
filled with features that make searching, browsing, and experiencing
the content straightforward and intuitive. We believe that content to
be some of the best to be found anywhere on the internet, and the
portal has been designed to make the delivery more effective—and the
discussion more engaging—than ever before.
Here are some specifics regarding the transition:
- Your ISC membership is completely transferable to a premium,
full-access membership at Integral Life for no additional cost. If you
have yet to create your Integral Life profile, you can do so here.
- All new spirituality content updates will take place at
Integral Life as of next week. So, this is the last time you will
receive a weekly e-mail update from ISC.org.
- You will continue to have access to the content on ISC.org
until mid-October. At that time, the content functions will be removed.
(Don’t worry, ISC.org will remain!)
- Lastly, if you do intend to access content from ISC.org,
please be aware that a database transfer issue has left some broken
links. Every affected file is available at Integral Life, so please
create an IL account to access them (click here to do so).
As these changes are implemented, our overall
vision and intention for ISC is very much alive, and continues to
blossom. We are working actively with Ken and the rest of our teachers
to plan for further Integral Spiritual Center events in 2024 and
beyond. We’re delighted to hold the Integral spiritual vision with you
and to share it with all, and we will continue to offer our hearts, our
minds, and our strength toward realizing that vision. So please be on
the look out for more remarkable content and events to come….
It’s been my great honor to meet you here, week in
and week out, over the past two years, and to witness with all of you a
"Miracle called We," arising in our very midst. We have indeed shared
the Good News with one another, using words—as necessary across this
virtual space—but transmitting at all times the simplest of messages:
Love. To much more of the same on Integral Life, and wishing you every
blessing,

Emptiness and Form: A Love Story (audio)
Ken Wilber and Dee Black discuss the exquisite dance, the
sweet and noble romance of Emptiness and form. From the timeless
moment of its realization that "it's no fun having dinner alone,"
Eternity has been in love with the productions of time, in the first
and the oldest of love stories. Pure perception sees—and is
seen—through a kaleidoscope of perspectives, each beloved, priceless,
and unique in all of history. Perception and perspective—and we are all of that.
Too often we become identified and fused with the perspective,
obscuring the window of stained glass that was lovingly fashioned and
designed to bathe the sanctuary in color and in light. Too often we
become lost in the dream, the nightmare of samsara.
But Hafiz knows the Beloved's eternal habits.
Have patience,
For He will not be able to resist your longing For Long....
Where Your Treasure Is (video)
Father
Thomas Keating discusses his discovery of the gift of contemplation, a
pearl of great price hidden in a field of obscurity. Contemplation, he
says, is the great gift of the Church, yet one that has been
buried beneath the dust of five centuries. The whole point of the tradition is to enter, via the contemplative path, into the same relationship with God that Jesus did....
