This presentation introduces Integral Theory under the context of using quadrants as a supplement for another framework, Capacity Building. Aspects of each framework are combined into an Integral Capacity Building Framework. Issues and potentials of community development are discussed using the quadrants. The presentation also addresses how Integral can be used by practitioners to increase their effectiveness in the community, through personal practice and transformation. [Co-Director’s note: this paper introduces the quadrants element of Integral Theory and references the developmental levels element. It is an example of how elements of Integral Theory can be communicated to help foster an Integrally-Informed perspective. –Barrett]
