The AQAL Journals are piling up these days. I often have the experience of knowing an article by title or author but then I forget which issue it came from...

Can we get a searchable master table of contents that spans all the Journals?

Thanks!
Mark

P.S. Any word on when the Spring 2010 issue will be out?

In April (on the 1st, amusingly) we'll have our 50th meetup of the Brisbane Integral group. Fantastic work, and we're planning to celebrate the ongoing Integral practice here in South East Queensland. We've also just had our 50th member join the meetup group (welcome Christina), so there's a double celebration :-)

In January we looked at what we were planning on doing individually in the year, and how we might support each other. February was an open discussion. For this coming March meeting I'd like to look at the year ahead for us as a group:

- What are your expectations from the group, and are they being met?
- What themes would we like to explore in the meetings this year?
- How would we like to have them run?
- What is the right balance of quadrants, and of body, mind, spirit and shadow work?
- What would we like to do as a group that affects the wider community?

I'm looking forward to seeing you next Thursday, the 4th of March, at 7pm, at the Quaker Meeting House. If you've not come to one of our meetings, please don't be shy.

I hope you can make it. If you can't make it in March I hope you can make it in April for our 50th! We may go out to dinner, so watch this space, or join us online at

for meeting notifications and RSVPs, and at

for discussion outside the meetings.

I was hoping for a collective brainstorm to come up with a bunch of synonyms for "integral" as we use the word.

There's "holistic" but that's getting to be an overused word.
'centauric'   if that's a word  (I'll take made up words too!)

Death of Michael Jackson - Genius, Insanity & Eternal Lovehttp://multiplex.integralinstitute.org/Public/cs/forums/thread/173847.aspxFri, 26 Jun 2009 17:55:02 GMTee28e699-b6ce-41f9-9b68-f4b3d2b14a5b:173847bohemianmama0http://multiplex.integralinstitute.org/Public/cs/forums/thread/173847.aspxhttp://multiplex.integralinstitute.org/Public/cs/forums/commentrss.aspx?SectionID=4&PostID=173847So many are grieving and experiencing conflicted feelings about the death of Michael Jackson. I wrote a poem about contemplations on the judgments we make about the value of human souls. From an Integrally Informed Consciousness, we see good and bad, better and worse, but we also see through to pure Spirit in all.

Michael Jackson - Genius, Insanity & Eternal Love

Today the King of Pop died,
Suddenly... without warning.
Ready to reach the world,
One more time with song,
Instead reaching out through death.

The world pours out conflicted feelings,
Of amazement of genius,
Greatness of craft,
Questioning sanity,
Unsure of the unthinkable,
But undeniably influential.

His death pauses us,
And, somewhere deep inside...

We wonder...
Can I accept my weaknesses,
pain, ugliness, evil?
Will others?
Where is that line?
When we become unlovable, unworthy,
of compassion?

We wonder...
Will I be seen for what I can do?
Who I love? How I love?
Can insanity take away...
The eternal Spirit that is inside us all?

Look back at the music, the dancing,
The life, the eyes,
The energy of spirit.
Then you decide...
Can insanity take away...

The eternal Spirit of Love,
That created us all?

Politics?http://multiplex.integralinstitute.org/Public/cs/forums/thread/169727.aspxSat, 30 May 2009 17:59:51 GMTee28e699-b6ce-41f9-9b68-f4b3d2b14a5b:169727rdmartin0http://multiplex.integralinstitute.org/Public/cs/forums/thread/169727.aspxhttp://multiplex.integralinstitute.org/Public/cs/forums/commentrss.aspx?SectionID=3&PostID=169727Hello,

In a world where the green meme is beginning to assert itself with more vigor, I am concerned that the last post on the Integral Naked site under the heading of "Politics" was made in 2007.

I understand how much of a "hot button" politics is for many of us, but it seems to me that now is the very time when we need to be having a discussion about seeing where we are allowing ourselves to get tripped up in "flatland" perspectives when the balance of power is shifting away from red and orange (using Beck and Cowan's colors).

It is my opinion that we need leadership. The Institute and Ken have done an amazing job helping us grow. But the piece that seems to be missing in helping establish a beachhead in second-tier politics are voices that help integrally reframe the daily discussions occurring in the media and online.

Is this something that Integral Naked is contemplating? Is it something that is already happening but not at this site?

 Thank you,
 Bob Martin

So I went to this website and it's just to order the ILP starter kit. Then I tried to sign up at IntegralLife.com and it says that this code is invalid. What is this code for and where do I use this code to get the free 6-month subscription?

Many Kudos for Vanessa!

Her insights into some of the more repressed psychological content lurking deep in the unconscious minds of both women and men are no doubt new territory that begs for more exploration.  As I see it, the militant feminist movement (MFM), of the 1960s has its corrolary in the militant green movement of that same period.  The genesis of both had radical activist roots that, as Ken has identified, may have succeeded economically for some but failed miserably both socially and psychologically for many.  Ken identified the 'mean green meme'(MGM), as a kind of virus that infected a sector of our society in a way that resulted in back-firing and hurting the very cause that it represented.  Likewise, the militant feminist movement of the 1960s left its devasting effects on the psyches of young women, virtually destroying their capacity to see themselves in a luminescent light of beauty that with cutting-edge precision Vanessa identifies and describes so accurately.

Ken mentions the travesty of both women and men who reduce the experience of Kosmic Beauty down to a caricature of a narrow abstract phantasm.  As such, they have missed the greatest opportunity to explore the possibilities of aesthetic meaning as it pertains to themselves. As I see it, Vanessa has identified something very similar in the Feminist Movement that Ken identifies in the Green Movement.  Through her three stage approach to the problem, Vanessa provides a map of how we translate our experiences of beauty in ways that can expand our experiences of it or contract those same experiences. One question that comes to mind is how  do we as humans relate our experiences of beauty if not through art and/or each other? Bringing the experience "down to earth," so to speak, is not really the problem, is it?

Wishing everyone a beautiful vernal equinox,

Jondavi

I have a business idea that I believe will be able to introduce the AQAL business model into every private shcool in Hawaii, where I live.  It will also be applied to the clergy and charitable businesses.  It will also be applied to the private citizen.  It is commission based and will generate incredible amounts of fund-raising cash for these organizations.  And, it will be in alignment with your values, I promise you.

I AM SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT WIL BE LUCRATIVE AND POTENTIALLY BE A DOMINANT NATIONWIDE / INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need referrals to an Integral CEO that can turn my idea into a reality quickly, within a couple of months!!!!!!!  The timing is critical.  If you know of an authentic integral entrepeneur / CEO currently able to take on a massive project from scratch, please let me know.  Post a message here, or send me an e-mail at resting.awareness@juno.com

Or are you more interested in floating in the clouds?Gays and Moralityhttp://multiplex.integralinstitute.org/Public/cs/forums/thread/144029.aspxMon, 02 Mar 2009 07:45:04 GMTee28e699-b6ce-41f9-9b68-f4b3d2b14a5b:144029annapizelo0http://multiplex.integralinstitute.org/Public/cs/forums/thread/144029.aspxhttp://multiplex.integralinstitute.org/Public/cs/forums/commentrss.aspx?SectionID=212&PostID=144029I realized after watching the outstanding movie MILK, that I have some persistent frustrations with the superfluous and blatant abuse of the symbolic power of the word "moral."

Number one issue: How dare anyone take it upon themselves to assume judicial power over the legitimacy of what "morality" is supposed to look like in our society.

Number two: How dare anyone assume their religious affiliations are the determining factor in what "morality" is.

Number three: How dare anyone assume that gay people have no idea of what "morality" is.

Number four: How dare any self proclaimed "religious" people assume that gays just don't have any sense of spirituality. How dare prejudiced people assume that homosexuality has to do with a lack of spirituality. How dare any such person assume that we are not legitimately spiritual and as active in our quest to be compassionate and spiritual beings as anyone else. Spirituality is not "owned" nor propagated by a few wholesome and holier than thou straight folks. There are innumerable gay people who live in the quiet depths of their own spirituality and live in this place with high regard and a sense of sacredness.

No one can take ownership of what "morality" means. Some of us trace the traditions of morality back to our roots. I have a deep felt conviction in following my moral principles. When a person says, "Being gay is immoral," I react hardcore because I have an ethics that I bow down to every day in total humility.

I'd say to those that have no respect for gays that your morality is a careless thing, it's an indoctrination of something that has nothing to do with the legitimacy of morality. Morality has to do with a depth that you would never understand because one cannot ever describe the true nature of morality with the petty structure and simplicity of words nor the politics of your petty combative religions. How dare any people regardless of faith, legitimatize your insecurities and narrow mindedness through your transparently cruel and superficial ownership of "morality."

I visited a Sangha recently and I was shocked because Ken Wilber is abosuletly right about "boomeritis" and Buddhism.   Especially on discussion of ethics during the Dharma talk, it was clear many were stuck in "relativity", like green thinking is the only legitimate way to see the world.    I talked to a few people afterwards and I said "it might be true that good and evil are ambiguous... but can't we at least talk about things that are, in general, bad?"  and most of the people didn't want to go there.

Do you own the DVD set?  Post your review of it here.  Is it a coherent presentation?  Is it integrally challenging?  Is it just a conglomeration of past interviews?  I'm very curious, and yet a tad suspicious.  It's not a book, but a DVD.  How well put together is it?  I'd like to hear your experience of the DVD set.
