Supporting our Teachers' wonderful work-Let's light a candle!

    My dearest friends at ISC,

Please click on the link above, the website of one of our dearest teachers, Brother David Steindl-Rast, and “Light a Candle.”

It does not cost anything and it is quick and even, really pretty!  Take a moment to wish peace, joy, love and Thanksgiving to those you care about.

You will see “Light a Candle” link to the left of the screen. I have begun a group into which I invite you but there is no necessity that you need to be in it J You can create your own group too!

If you wish to be in my group, when you come to the screen that says initial your candle and “To associate your candle with a candle group, or to start a new group, enter a group initial…….please type in NOMS. Each candle burns for 48 hours. My group is right HERE.

Light is Love, Compassion and Wisdom.

    Share it in Gratitude.

    Joyfully,

    Nomali @ ISC

    My Dearest Friends,

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO LIT CANDLES!!!

I have come to realize that this is a simple and yet wonderful practice...a simple and amazing use of technology to share joy, wish someone health, show concern for those in pain and more...

So, i am going to try something. I am going to commit to lighting a candle everyday until end of December 2024. After that, things get a little tricky as i leave for Sri Lanka for a month. But upon my return, i will try to continue.

Anybody wanna join? There are so many beings who can use a little light...including ourselves if we find ourselves in pain.

Here is who i am lighting my candle for today. As I live in the USA, in Boulder, Colorado, with a laptop, in an 'integral' community, there is also this little being. And i never want to forget.

    I am grateful to you.

    Heartfelt thanks to you.

    Let's light a candle!

Quite early in the morning today i was walking to the II Office and I had a really bad fall. Bruised and bleeding knees and all Crying [:'(]

A wonderful man called Taylor stopped and helped me. My dear ISC partner in crime Rollie also helped me get back home. I light 3 candles today for people's kindness.

    Thank you!

    Re: Let's light a candle!

Ken's health is not good. I light 3 candles for Ken and for all those who are treating and helping him at this moment. And a candle for Colin Bigelow who has been Ken's most faithful friend and assistant through thick and thin for the past 4 years. May God bless you all and keep you in good health. If you too would like to light a candle, please go to the top of this thread to see link. Or just click here.

For calm and courage during a difficult time.

    For health and healing.

    For friendship and loyalty.

For wellness of All sentient beings.

Thank you for letting us know, Nomali. I've found myself thinking and talking about Ken's physical condition these past few days... Can you tell us more about the specifics?

These are unsettling days and weeks for many people.
Thanks also for starting this beautiful thread.

    Love,

    Mascha

Nomali:  Yes, Thank you.  And please do keep us posted.  When I got to Ken's picture, I started bawling.  For Ken and for all of us.  I will light a candle.  I have such a family and others that I did not join your group.  I love the candle site. WE all want the same thing and it is a chance to be connected-  alll the heart beats all over the world.  I am thankful for Brother David for that.  I am going there now.  I stumbled on this news, literally on a new thread .. Namaste   Pattye
