We went. You all missed a good time. I have a picture of me, Fairy Faye and Ken (her feet were not on the ground), but I can't post it on here. Maybe some one can tell me how, or do it for me. It is possible to put a picture in a post isn't it? We met Genpo Roshi and Br. David Stenal-Rast, they hung out with us in the hotel lobby. Many of the teachers who were there for the first two days left and we never saw them. On the third day, Ken, Willow Pearson, Sofia Diaz, Diane Hamilton, Saniel and Linda Bonder, Chantal Westerman, Jim Marion, Videadivea and a few others were still there. Dr. James Fowler was there and received the first annual Integral Institute award. Which must have been a suprise, since his books were published 30 years ago. From the perspective of the Conveyer Belt, his research is crucial and is deserving of recognition. I wish his writing style was more engaging (I thought Ken's was a little dry). Fowler left at noon and I missed the chance to shake his hand. Someone did a presentation on his work that was a little too obtuse. I guess I'll have to make another stab at reading his book. We did a Big Mind session with the voices of Great Doubt and Great Faith ending with a Buddist term I can't even come close to remebering or spelling. Sofia lead some movement exercises that I liked (and I don't usually enjoy that kind of thing). They were selling ILP kits for $125. Over all, I loved being in a big group of second tier people, but it was a pretty short event that really could have been more impactful. The picture is 110 KB. If I click on the picture in my browser, I get a bigger, much nicer image.

they can also be quite serious, can't they? otherwise, there would be little point in reading something like 'irreducible mind', or, in my case, 'a secular age', a massive tome by a canadian philosopher? historian? charles taylor, which i'm about half way through--about 400 pages still awaiting my eye.

Hey Mark - I'm glad it was fun.
I know one way to post a photo; however when I did it on a photo thread that I started, my old cellphone-Pocket PC image came our significantly elongated in the horizontal direction. It may be that a decent photo from a digital camera will be different. You may need to size it in a basic editing program. I'm not sure of the permitted size anymore, but you can experiment with how small. Mine that was accepted was almost 200 KB, 4 hundred something by 6 hundred something. I've been told somewhere that for most internet stuff about 100 dpi is max that is easily discernible - or was it that most systems limit the dpi to 100? Anyway 100 seems good, 72 OK. You can reduce the resolution in your editing program. Why don't you try like, maybe, 4 or 5 hundred KB, see what happens.
Actually, in checking mine out, I discovered that if I click-to-open on the photo, the proportions of the separate image that comes up seems to look about right.
So, Mark, when you write your post (and maybe even editing one will work), click on the "options" tab at the very top. Click on "add/update", then "browse" to find your chosen image, and post. I think that will work. We'll see if it works.
The feet not on the ground sounds interesting, I wait with baited breath. ambo

"ambo my floating feet failed your fantasy .. and ralph i wasn't wedged

">" That sounds so right, ff. Entering some of these male fantasizing minds may be as consequence-filled as entering a fairytale forest - you don't know what you might encounter. There could be various warning signs: "Pass at your own risk" "No hunting" "Falling rocks" "Danger, high voltage" "Caution, severe undertow" "Buffalo crossing" "Stay alert, baby onboard" "Avoid the bean - definitely do not plant and water!" "Zone of spontaneous combustion and unwanted transformations" "Psychiatric help 5 cents - you get what you pay for" "Thirsty on your long journey through the forest? Coolade - 5 cents"
