Now that I've read bit about IOS, while (coincidentally) reading for
the first time The Glass Bead Game by Hesse, I'm thinking I can't be
the first to wonder how greatly Ken W's early thinking was influenced
by Hesse...

I'm new here. Dropping in on these discussions without any background in integral theory leaves me curious and baffled.
Is a primer available online here on this site? Is there an audio
version? Can you suggest a sequence of readings? Is a book (or a series
of books) the ...

Can the bad actors on both sides in and around Iraq be persuaded that
peaceful negotiation will yield better results than (almost) random
violence?
Would a UN peacekeeping force be more palatable to the main players in the area than the continued US occupation?

Asking for help from the international community (the UN) would require
of Dubya that which he seems to be incapable of manifesting: humility,
generousness of spirit, ...
